About Our Project

You have already probably read something about our team. But what do we actually do on this project?

Our purpose is to support inclusion of social work clients and finding new study tools for social service students as well as teachers.

Our goals are finding applications for VR glasses that would be useful for some fields of social work, explaining the related theory and purposes, giving also proposals on what else can be done with the VR technology in order to help social work clients.

On the project, we are exploring how VR could be beneficial in 4 main areas: the elderly, social anxiety, autism and a new trend of alcohol misuse.

How did we reach our goals?

By reading articles and finding information on possible implementations of VR technology in Social Work.

We looked for as many applications as possible that could be used in the mentioned areas and target groups. 

For this purpose, we used Google, YouTube and different app stores.

After finding the apps, we tested them out with students and children of the kindergarden where one of us did the practical training. We shared our findings giving also recommendations of what could be developed more.
